Livewire forward Nick Watson has earned a Round 16 Goal of the Year nomination for his sizzling centre-bounce breakway and finish at UTAS Stadium at the weekend.

Having stolen a centre clearance in the first quarter, Watson took a bounce and dished a handball to teammate Jai Newcombe before receiving the ball back again, he then steadied a small fumble and slotted the superb goal.

In his second year at the top level, Watson has booted 21 majors from 14 games, after kicking 25 in his debut season in 2024.
