HAWTHORN defender Brian Lake will challenge the $1000 sanction offered by the MRP last night.

Lake was charged with engaging in rough conduct against Ty Vickery during the third quarter of Friday night’s clash with Richmond.

Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Richmond Football Club, the MRP assessed the incident as careless conduct with low impact to the body.

The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction, with Luke able to accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.
