HAWTHORN has made one change to take on Port Adelaide at Etihad Stadium on Friday night.
Swingman Ryan Schoenmakers returns, in place of first-year Hawk Daniel Howe, who was omitted after starting as the substitute in the Hawks’ Round 20 win over Geelong.
Schoenmakers has been named to return for his 13th game this season.
The 24-year-old has kicked 11 goals this year, and had played six consecutive games before missing the Hawks’ win over the Cats.
Friday night’s match is pivotal for the Hawks, as they chase a top-two finish.
The third-placed Hawks will be chasing their third consecutive win – and need to maintain their winning form to push for a home qualifying final.
They will have to overcome a Port Adelaide side that won the sides’ previous meeting by eight points in Round 4 this year.
The Power will have nothing to lose – they have a slim chance of making finals, if they can win their last three matches and other results go their way.
