HAWTHORN has welcomed Irish rookie Conor Glass to the club for a fortnight - and he's had to make the transition from snow to sun in the blink of an eye.

Glass officially joined the Hawks as a Category B rookie in November's rookie draft, after signing with the club in October.

The 18-year-old completed two weeks of training with the main group and lived with new teammate Liam Shiels.

He will return to the club midway through 2016, after he completes his final year of school commitments.
