300 games
Round 5 - Shaun Burgoyne (currently 295)
After playing all 26 games in 2015, Shaun Burgoyne is set to play his 300th game in 2016.
He played 157 games at Port Adelaide, and has managed 138 so far at the Hawks.
And if he plays every game at the start of 2016, the milestone will come in Round 5 – a home game against Adelaide Crows at the MCG.
Round 16 - Sam Mitchell (currently 285)
Sam Mitchell is also closing in on his 300th game – and if he plays every game we’ll have an interstate celebration in Round 16.
The Hawks take on Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.
250 games
Round 10 - Jordan Lewis (currently 240)
Both of our vice-captains are nearing their 250th games, with Jordan Lewis in the hot-seat to reach the milestone first.
If he features in our first ten games, he’ll bring up the 250 against Brisbane Lions at the GABBA.
Round 20 - Jarryd Roughead (currently 231)
With 19 games needed to reach 250, we’re hoping Roughy is out on the park every week!
If that’s the case, he will reach his milestone in Round 20 in an away game against Melbourne at the MCG.
200 games
Round 10 - Josh Gibson (currently 190)
With 125 games for the Hawks and 65 for North Melbourne under his belt, defender Josh Gibson is just 10 matches away from his double century.
All going to plan, he’ll celebrate his milestone with Lewis in Round 10 against the Lions.
100 games
Round 5 - Ryan Schoenmakers (currently 95)
Fresh from winning his first premiership medal, Ryan Schoenmakers is set to notch his 100th AFL match.
After making his debut in Round 1, 2009, the swingman will celebrate his milestone alongside Burgoyne in Round 5 if he plays the first five games of the year.
Round 12 - Brendan Whitecross (currently 88)
After four senior matches last year, Brendan Whitecross is slowly closing in on his century.
He’s 12 games away from the milestone, and if he can cement a senior spot from Round 1, will ton up against Essendon at Etihad Stadium in Round 12.
50 games
Round 18 - Will Langford (currently 33)
Will Langford will be determined to force his way back into the senior team this year, and if he can, will be pushing for his 50-game milestone.
If he can play every game, he’ll reach his half-century in Round 18 against Richmond – a Hawks’ home game at the MCG.
Round 20 - Jonathon Ceglar (currently 31)
Ruckman Jon Ceglar is another player who will be determined to push his name back in the frame for regular senior games in 2016.
And with 19 games to go until he reaches 50, Ceglar could notch a milestone in Round 20 alongside Roughead against the Dees.
