HAWTHORN star Cyril Rioli will return to face Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.

Rioli was a late withdrawal last week, as the Hawks edged past Carlton by 19 points at Aurora Stadium.

The four-time premiership forward comes into the side for draftee Blake Hardwick, who made his AFL debut as the late inclusion for Rioli against the Blues.

“It’s really pleasing to have Cyril back in the side,” GM – Football Operations Chris Fagan said.

“We were really happy with Blake’s performance last week and would have liked to have given him another opportunity, but with Cyril available to return, from a positional point of view it’s a like-for-like replacement.”

Rioli has kicked 34 goals from 15 games in 2016 to again be one of the Hawks’ most important players.

However, his partner in crime up forward, Paul Puopolo, will miss the clash with the Dees due to the hip injury which also kept him out of action last week.

The Hawks will be chasing their 10th straight win for just the seventh time in club history, and will also be out to extend their winning streak against Melbourne to 14 matches.
