Kieran Lovell endured a 2017 season that was overshadowed by shoulder troubles.
The 20-year old managed just three games in the VFL for Box Hill.
Despite these limited opportunities, the number 22 pick in the 2015 draft showed some promising signs.
The strongly built 174cm midfielder has a strong knack of being able to find the footy in the clinches.
His best game for Box Hill came in Round 16 against Geelong, when he gathered 34 disposals, 16 of which were contested, nine clearances, nine inside 50s and seven tackles.
A word from: Brett Ratten
“Kieran had a shoulder injury throughout the year.
“But he showed when he came back from the shoulder that he can really find the footy. So, his ability to win the ball and then use it is really strong.
“He’s tough in close and then he has great power to get out, helped by some good evasive skills as well.
“So, hopefully 2018 will be an injury-free one for him and we will be able to get the best out of him.”
