Hawthorn Football Club has today informed Kade Stewart and Billy Hartung they will not be offered contracts for the 2018 season.
The Hawks have also delisted Dallas Willsmore but have committed to re-drafting the 22-year-old in this year’s rookie draft.
Hawthorn GM - Recruiting and List Management Graham Wright said:
“Dallas got a taste of AFL footy this year and showed some good signs. We have committed to selecting him in the rookie draft next month,” Wright said.
“We would also like to extend our thanks to Billy and Kade for their contribution to Hawthorn.
“Both players have demonstrated great commitment to the club and we wish them all the best in their future endeavours.”
In other list news, Jonathan O’Rourke and Kurt Heatherley have both been offered contracts for the 2018 season.
“We are pleased to retain both Jonathan and Kurt,” Wright said.
“Jonathan had an injury interrupted season, so we trust with a full pre-season under his belt he’ll be able to perform at his best next year.
“Kurt had a solid year at VFL level and also managed four senior games. We hope he can continue to develop his craft as a key backman next season.”
