Hawthorn and adidas have announced a five-year extension of their partnership with the production of a large-scale mural in Hawthorn heartland.
Hawthorn and adidas have been in partnership since 2013, with the new deal set to take their partnership into its tenth year.
adidas sponsored players Cyril Rioli, Jaeger O’Meara and Ryan Burton feature in the artwork, which is located on the corner of Hawthorn’s iconic Glenferrie Road and Linda Crescent.
Artist, Askew One (Elliot O’Donnell), who specialises in outdoor and graffiti art, spent five days creating the mural, with the featured players particularly impressed with the end result.
“It’s not every day you get to see yourself on the side of a building and I think it’s a pretty exciting way to announce the partnership extension,” Jaeger O’Meara said.
“Askew One has done an amazing job and it’s great the club has been able to collaborate with adidas on a project like this.
“adidas are a really innovative brand and we are really excited to continue working with them over the next five years,” he said.
