Hawthorn’s backline looks set to receive a strong boost with the likely returns of James Sicily and James Frawley for Thursday night’s qualifying final clash against the Tigers.
Sicily has missed the past six matches with a broken scaphoid suffered in Round 17, but could slot straight back into the side after making a full recovery.
Key defender Frawley was kept out of the Hawks’ final game of the home and away season due to a jarred back, but looks likely to return to full fitness ahead of Thursday’s game.
The Hawks will also consider recalling ruckman Jonathon Ceglar to partner Ben McEvoy.
Ceglar missed the final two games of the season with a corked calf and could make his way back into the side if the Hawks look to exploit the Tigers’ use of a sole ruckman.
Meanwhile, a number of Hawks have also put their hands up for a recall after strong performances in Box Hill’s win on the weekend.

Midfielder Dan Howe gathered 25 disposals and could be included to face the Tigers after serving a five-game suspension.
James Cousins was again prolific through the middle of the ground, collecting 31 disposals and kicking a goal, while experienced campaigner Brendan Whitecross was also impressive with 20 disposals and two goals.
Taylor Duryea (14 disposals, seven marks) and Tim O’Brien (23 disposals, eight marks) were also amongst the side’s best.
