Review
In his second year as a Hawk, Jaeger O’Meara delighted fans as his improved luck with injury saw him feature in all bar three games in 2018.
But not only was he out on the park more, O’Meara had an outstanding season that saw him average career-high disposals (24 per game), clearances (4.9) and goals (0.8).
The 24-year-old enjoyed an incredibly consistent year, falling below 20 disposals on just three occasions.
His reliability was also reflected in the Peter Crimmins Medal count where he averaged more votes per outing than any other player outside of winner Tom Mitchell.
O’Meara’s best game of the season came in Round 17 against the Brisbane Lions when he gathered 27 disposals, eight tackles, seven clearances and four goals.
