Hawthorn are set to take on Carlton at University of Tasmania Stadium in Round 6 of the 2019 home and away season.
In what will be just the second occasion that the two sides have met outside of Victoria in a regular season game, the two sides will clash in Launceston on Sunday April 28 at 3.20pm.
It will be the Hawks’ first of four home games in Tasmania in 2019.
The rivals last met at the venue in the home and away season in Round 19 2016 when the Hawks were 19-point victors.
A crowd of 18,112 watched that game, remaining the biggest attendance of the last eight years in Launceston.
Hawthorn have won 15 of their last 16 encounters against the Blues.
They have also lost just three of their last 35 games at UTAS Stadium.
Carlton has their own connection with Tasmania, with coach Brendan Bolton a local product and member of the state’s Football Hall of Fame.
