After making an impressive debut in the final round of the 2017 season, Morrison followed that first impression up with a strong year at AFL level.
Being left out of the senior side in the opening fortnight, the 20-year-old fought his way back to play 21 of the next 22 games of the year.
From there on he showed a level of composure and class that defied his relative lack of experience, being used in a variety of roles throughout the season.
Although his best game of the season was his 25-possession, eight-mark, one-goal performance against St Kilda in Round 6, it was his effort in the tight win over Essendon that earned him the Round 20 Rising Star nomination.
With 22 AFL games now under his belt, Morrison will be looking to make further improvement in 2019.
