Review
It is not difficult to mount a case that 2018 was Isaac Smith’s best season to date.
One of five Hawks to play every game this season, this year was the first time in his career that he averaged at least 21 disposals and a goal per game.
The Round 6 clash against St Kilda saw the 29-year-old kick an equal career-best four goals.
The end of season awards also validated this argument, with Smith’s third placing in the Peter Crimmins Medal the highest of his eight seasons while his six Brownlow votes for the season were also his best tally yet.
