Rated highly among Hawthorn’s four walls, Blake Hardwick is the ultimate warrior. The Hawks veteran is known for his courageous efforts deep in defence and his ability to lock down dangerous opposition small forwards, one of the most difficult roles to play in the league. But in 2024, he also became known for his elite goalkicking. Having trained with the forwards for most of the 2024 pre-season, Hardwick managed 13 goals for the year, including a bag of five and four-goal haul at Adelaide Oval alone. The versatile Hawk averaged 15 disposals, 4.7 marks and 2.5 tackles while suiting up for every match in 2024, which included notching up with 150th career game.
