Chad Wingard has received the nod from fans as Hawthorn’s Round 23 MVP following the side’s draw with Richmond.
The Hawks utility was best afield with 30 disposals and two goals during the final game of the 2021 season.
Recording team-high tallies of two goal assists and eight score involvements, Wingard provided drive and speed to help generate momentum for Hawthorn.
He also laid five tackles, as well as recording 377 metres gained, six clearances and 11 contested possessions.
Indicative draft order: With season done, where do Hawks sit?
It is the third time Wingard has landed MVP accolades in 2021 after landing nominations in Rounds 9 and 11.
Wingard has played 16 matches this season, averaging 22.4 disposals a game, above his career average of 18.4.
In particular he has had a stellar end to the season averaging 28.4 disposals from the last five games, with three of the last five games with 30 touches or above.
