Season summary:
Despite a slow start to the year, James Worpel averaged 21.3 disposals per game, a figure close to his career-best form in 2019.
Now in his fourth year in the brown and gold, the 22-year-old has continued to be prove himself as one of the best young players in the league.
The exciting young midfielder has established himself as a fierce competitor that goes in to win hard ball, averaging the fifth-most tackles, contested possessions and disposals of any Hawk this season and third-best for centre clearances.
Worpel was elevated into the Hawks leadership group ahead of the 2021 season - the sole new addition to the group - providing a voice on behalf of his young crop of teammates.
Beside from establishing himself as role-model around the club, he also managed to get on the score board during several occasions, kicking a career-best 10 goals for the season.
Best AFL game:
With 33 touches and a game-high 11 clearances in his side's Round 7 clash with St Kilda, Worpel's performance was a shining light on an otherwise disappointing loss for the Hawks.
