Season summary:
Having gone under the knife late last year to deal with a back injury that had been causing him issues, Jack Gunston faced a delayed start to the 2021 season, returning in Round 7 against St Kilda.
It would prove the gun forward’s only game for the year, with his troublesome back causing him ongoing problems once again.
However, the 29-year-old triple flag winner has been busy behind-the-scenes, spending significant time with the young key forwards, working on their craft and assisting on game day in the coaches box.
Gunston won the Hawks’ Peter Crimmins Medal for the first time in 2020, and is hopeful to complete a full pre-season and be available for the start of 2022.
