The 2022 season is fast approaching and we can't wait to get back out there.
And after a disrupted two years heavily impacted by COVID-19 restrictions, Hawthorn fans will be treated with plenty of home action to kick start the 2022 season.
As the countdown to the season edges less than 10 weeks away, we've taken a look at the big games that the brown and gold family have coming their way in the first half of the year.
Hawks welcome member-friendly 2022 fixture
Round 1 v North Melbourne
MCG, Sunday 20 March, 1.10pm
The Hawks will kick off the season at the MCG with a bang under new coach Sam Mitchell.
There’s nothing like a home game to open the season – and a Hawks Round 1 clash against old foes North Melbourne hasn’t been done in decades.
The match marks the first since 2020 that Hawthorn will start the season with a home game in front of their members and fans in Victoria.
Hawthorn has got the better of the Kangaroos in six of their last 10 encounters.
Round 5 v Geelong
MCG, Monday 18 April, 3.20pm
Hawthorn will host Geelong at the MCG in the highly-anticipated traditional Easter Monday clash.
The Hawks and Cats have always had a fierce rivalry, resulting in some thrilling football, and this year is shaping up to be just as exciting.
Hawthorn and Geelong have played 168 times, resulting in 75 wins, 92 losses and a draw.
The Hawks will have their work cut out for them yet again as they come up against last year’s preliminary finalists, but it is sure to be a challenge they will thrive upon.
Round 6 v Sydney
UTAS Stadium, Monday 25 April, 12.30pm
One of the game's most entertaining modern rivalries will continue in 2022, with a blockbuster ANZAC game against Sydney scheduled for Round 6.
The Tasmanian crowd is in for a treat this year, with the match headlining Hawthorn's four home games at UTAS Stadium in 2022.
It is the first time that the two teams have ever played against each other in Tasmania.
The last time they met was in Round 13 last year, with the Hawks taking home the win. Will they be able to back it up again this year?
The game could also potentially feature a 200th game milestone for a fan-favourite, with Chad Wingard currently sitting at 194 games.
Round 7 v Melbourne
MCG, Saturday 30 April, 4.35pm
Round 6 will be followed by a tough clash against Melbourne at the MCG.
It marks the first time the Hawks will face the reigning premiers after their thrilling Round 18 match-up last year, which resulted in a draw - the first in history between the two sides.
With the Demons looking for back-to-back flags in 2022, it will be a big test for the Hawks as they come up against an impressive Melbourne outfit.
Round 8 v Essendon
Marvel Stadium, Saturday 7 May, 7.25pm
Hawthorn will face off with their arch-rivals Essendon at Marvel Stadium in a prime-time slot under Saturday night lights come Round 8.
The two sides each took a win from each other during the 2021 season, with the Hawks claiming a thrilling 1-point victory in the opening round of last year, before the Bombers triumphed in their second meeting in Round 14.
Head-to-head, Essendon hold the upper hand with a 100-66 lead, but more recently Hawthorn has narrowed the gap, with both teams sitting on five wins each from their last 10 encounters.
