Hawthorn will take on Essendon in the VFLW qualifying final at Windy Hill on Saturday.

The Hawks finished the home-and-away season in second place with a 12-1-1 record and are now looking to convert their winning form into silverware over the next few weeks.

If the Hawks were to beat Essendon tomorrow, they would play the highest-ranked winner from the Elimination Finals next week.

If they were to fall short, they would then face the lower-ranked winner from the Elimination Finals next week.

Should the Hawks win their Semi Final next week, they would go straight through to the VFLW Grand Final, which will be played at Port Melbourne’s ETU Stadium on Sunday July 3.

If they were to lose that Semi Final, they would then do battle with the winner of the other Semi Final in the VFLW Preliminary Final the following week.

The higher-ranked team on the rebel VFLW Ladder at the conclusion of the Home and Away Season will play host to matches in Weeks One and Two of the 2022 rebel VFLW Finals Series.

Both the Preliminary Final and Grand Final will be played at Port Melbourne’s ETU Stadium.

To qualify to play in the 2022 rebel VFLW Finals Series:

  • VFLW listed players must have played one game during the Home and Away Season
  • 2022 AFLW listed players must have played three games during the Home and Away Season
  • Clubs can select a maximum of 10 AFLW listed players in all matches of the Finals Series
