Hawthorn will face Richmond in its first official AFLW pre-season practice game on Sunday 14 August at Punt Road Oval.

The clash, which commences at 11am, will form a massive double-header with Hawthorn’s AFL match against the Tigers at the MCG later that day.

This will be the club’s formal pre-season game, with a match simulation the week prior.

Hawthorn General Manager - Operations & AFLW Josh Vanderloo said it was an exciting time for Hawks fans.

“After a really productive AFLW pre-season so far, we’re really excited to begin our AFLW journey in a more official capacity in the coming weeks,” Vanderloo said.

“We are really looking forward to playing in front of our home fans for the first time when we face Richmond in what will be another exciting step forward for the team.”
