Electric defender Changkuoth Jiath has been named to make his return for Hawthorn ahead of its match against St Kilda on Saturday.

Jiath has been named in the starting 22 after missing last week’s win against North Melbourne due to knee soreness.

Jacob Koschitzke has also been recalled to the side and is set to play his 14th senior game this year, while Sam Butler also features after missing the last three games due to a shin injury.

Head of Football Rob McCartney said Saturday’s match against the top-eight hopeful St Kilda presents another challenge for the young Hawks.

“It’s great to have CJ back after a week out. He gives us incredible dash off the half-back line and really helps us in the way we want to move the ball,” McCartney said.

“It’s also pleasing to welcome Kosi back to the side. He provides a great physical presence for us and is a real focal point up forward.

“Sam was also showing promising glimpses prior to his injury, so it’s a real positive to see him returning to AFL level.”

Young ruckman Ned Reeves will miss the clash after reporting some foot soreness that came following the game last week.

Jarman Impey (managed) and Denver Grainger-Barras (omitted) are the other two confirmed outs.

The Hawks will be on the hunt for their fourth consecutive win on Saturday.
