From interviews on the gold carpet to first-time winners, we’ve wrapped up how our Peter Crimmins Medal count went down last weekend.
With the event returning in-person for the first time in two years there was plenty of excitement in the room.
In case you missed the action across our social channels, here’s a recap of all the highlights from Saturday’s event.
The gold carpet
While there was plenty of glitz and glam happening on the gold carpet, young reporter Max Becker was also in attendance to ask our players all the hard-hitting questions before the formalities began.
Watch the entertaining interview with Max.
The award winners
The club announced several award winners on Saturday night, with the likes of Dylan Moore (Best Clubman), Mitch Lewis (Most Improved), Ned Reeves (Most Promising), Jai Newcombe (Lethal Award) and Blake Hardwick (Most Courageous) all receiving accolades.
Sam’s first address
While he has won five Peter Crimmins Medals of his own as a player, this was the first awards night Sam Mitchell attended as coach.

Sis celebrates first medal win
Saturday turned out to be a thrilling count, with the winner and runner-up being decided in the final round of voting.
James Sicily took out the top honours, marking his first Peter Crimmins Medal win - and first podium finish - in his nine-year career.
Sicily (123) polled eight more votes to finish ahead of rising youngsters Jai Newcombe (115) and Dylan Moore (113).
You can check out how each player polled here.
Sicily's feat is even more impressive considering he ruptured his ACL in 2020 and went on to spend 18 months on the sidelines.
Pup and McEvoy reminisce
Our retirees, Ben McEvoy and Liam Shiels took much pleasure on the night reminiscing about their decorated careers in the brown and gold.

Gunners’ final farewell
Hawks veteran Jack Gunston informed the club last week of his intention to join the Brisbane Lions in the free agency period.
The 30-year-old unrestricted free agent will leave the brown and gold a triple premiership player and a Peter Crimmins Medallist, having played 211 games for the Hawks after beginning his career at the Adelaide Crows.
