Tilly Lucas-Rodd led the way in a true captain’s game on Saturday night as Hawthorn recorded its third straight AFLW win.

In the 13-point victory over Port Adelaide, the midfielder gathered a game-high 19 possessions (11 of those contested), nine tackles and three clearances.

Ashmore also put on a show in her return from injury with 16 disposals, six tackles and 206 metres gained.

Speaking of metres gained, young defender Mackenzie Eardley led the way for the Hawks with 320. She also registered 11 disposals and took three marks.

Lucy Wales had another stellar game in the ruck with 17 hit-outs, 10 disposals and five tackles in 100 percent game time.

Leading the way in the marks department was Aine McDonagh with five. The Irishwoman arguably played one of her best games for the Hawks, recording seven disposals to go with a goal.

Hawthorn next faces the GWS Giants at Henson Park on Sunday, marking the team’s first ever appearance in the AFLW’s Pride Round.
