New recruit Karl Amon became the first player to arrive at a new club this trade period, joining Hawthorn from Port Adelaide.

While he's currently overseas on holiday, we’ve compiled some quick facts so you can get to know more about him before he arrives to the club next month.

1. Karl is an impressive running machine, taking out the time trial for six consecutive years while at the Power.

2. He polled 15 votes in this year's Brownlow across six games - including three consecutive best on ground performances - to finish as the 12th highest vote-getter in the league.

3. He was an All-Australian nominee in 2021 following a season where he averaged 23.6 disposals and 4.1 tackles across his 24 games.

4. Karl’s off-field interests includes landscape architecture which he has commenced studies in, and photography (you can view some of his work at kamon-photography.com and on Instagram at @kamon.photography).

5. At age five, Karl was diagnosed with Perthes disease - a condition which affects the hip in growing children - and had to undergo several operations.
