The AFLW Priority Signing Period is done and dusted, with Hawthorn adding All Australian duo Emily Bates and Greta Bodey to its list.

Bates, a midfielder with 66 matches under her belt, won a premiership and four best and fairests with Brisbane.

She also took out the AFLW League Best and Fairest award as well as the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year and AFLPA MVP award in Season 6.

Bodey, a forward who has kicked 35 goals in 42 games, also played in a premiership with Brisbane.

Before earning her first All Australian selection in Season 7, Bodey made the squad in Season 6, was the Lions’ leading goalkicker and came second in their best and fairest count.

Going into the Priority Signing Period, Hawthorn had four list spots available due to the retirements of Jess Duffin and Kate McCarthy as well as the delistings of Dominique Carbone and Isabelle Porter.

The Hawks were able to add three players to its list throughout the period, however they had to have spent three or more seasons in the AFLW to be considered.

With the Hawks recruiting two players instead, it means they now go into the Sign and Trade Period, beginning on Friday, with two list spots.
