The Hawks could welcome back defensive duo Sam Frost and Changkuoth Jiath as soon as after the bye, with the pair on track for a return following the break.
Frost was ruled out of Hawthorn’s Round 13 clash against the Brisbane Lions on Saturday due to a niggling foot injury.
While Jiath has missed the past four matches, as the explosive playmaker works to overcome a calf complaint.
High Performance Manager Peter Burge said the outlook for both players was positive heading into the mid-season break.
“Frosty is due to miss just the one game after sustaining a minor foot issue earlier in the season,” Burge said.
“He’s already feeling a lot better and has reported improvement in the area of concern – we would expect him to be available following the bye.
“As for CJ, we’ve had to be a little more patient, but have also seen good progression – we have an important session planned for this Saturday to put him through his paces.
"We'll be in a better position to make an assessment on his return to full training following that next week."
Meanwhile, veteran forward Luke Breust has been cleared of any serious damage, after he was subbed out of Saturday’s win over the Lions with a corked quad.
“Luke has already returned to the track after copping a nasty corky on the weekend,” Burge said.
“He’s pulled up absolutely fine, and while he’ll enjoy a break over the bye, we wouldn’t expect him to miss any time leading into our match against the Gold Coast Suns on Sunday week."
