Hawthorn has named a talented extended squad for its practice match against Melbourne, taking place on Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields.

After showing positive signs in last week's narrow match simulation loss against the Western Bulldogs, Hawks fans will get another glimpse of 2023 recruits Emily Bates, Greta Bodey, Mattea Breed, Kristy Stratton and Casey Dumont on Saturday.

It will also be the first game of the year for the likes of 2022 draftees Jasmine Fleming, Mackenzie Eardley and Laura Elliott.

Just like last week, the Hawks will again be wearing pink armbands at Saturday's game.

The armbands are a show of support for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) ahead of Hawthorn's AFL BCNA Pink Lady match against the Demons on Sunday.

Entry to Casey Fields is free with the game also being live-streamed on hawthornfc.com.au.

The Hawks will also cover the game via their AFLW social media channels. Follow along on Facebook, Twitter/X and Instagram.
