Hawthorn Co-Vice-Captain Emily Bates has topped Hawthorn's coaches votes for 2023.

The 28-year-old polled votes in all but one game this season, ranking 15th in the league with 41 votes.

She was followed by Captain Tilly Lucas-Rodd, who polled 23 votes from five of a possible 10 games.

Kaitlyn Ashmore rounded out the podium with 17 votes, including one 10-vote performance in Round 7 against Sydney.

It comes after the AFL Coaches' Association released the votes for the final two rounds of the season, in which Greta Bodey polled a perfect 10 for her match-winning four goals in Round 9 against Port Adelaide.

Bates and Rising Star nominee Lucy Wales also featured among the votes for that game.

Bates polled once again in Round 10's loss to Geelong alongside forward Kristy Stratton, who booted two goals.
