Last time we met

Hawthorn (105) def Collingwood (73) in Round 21, 2023

In one of the biggest upsets of the 2023 season, Hawthorn defeated Collingwood by 32 points in what was a thrilling victory late last year.

The Hawks got off to a strong start by kicking the first five goals of the match to give them an impressive lead, which was maintained throughout the match.

Stand-out performers included Captain James Sicily with 37 disposals and a career-high of 19 marks alongside Conor Nash with 31 disposals.

Luke Breust led the way on the scoreboard with three majors, while Finn Maginness kept star Pie Nick Daicos to only five disposals with his major efforts through a tagging role.

Our last game

Hawthorn (70) defeated by Geelong (106)

Among some extreme weather conditions, the Hawks fell short to the Cats by 36 points in an Easter Monday blockbuster.

An impressive comeback saw Hawthorn kick five goals in the second quarter to bring the game back within 11 points, but it wasn't enough to withstand a polished Geelong outfit.

Midfielder James Worpel gave his best efforts with a stand-out performance of 36 disposals and one goal, leading him to receiving the well-deserved Paul Dear Memorial Medal.

Key forward Mabior Chol provided support inside 50 by kicking three majors, while young midfielder Cam Mackenzie also slotted through two goals of his own.
