Hawthorn defender Sam Frost will remain in the brown and gold for at least another season after extending his contract with the club until the end of 2025.
The 30-year-old has become a key pillar in defence for the Hawks over his 87-game stretch at the club, after previous stints with Melbourne and GWS.
Frost has been tasked with nullifying some of the best opposition forwards this season, playing a major role in Hawthorn's defensive unit that has conceded just 70.6 points per game since Round 8 - the fewest of any team in the competition across that period
To complement his defensive attributes, Frost has averaged 9.1 disposals and 4.8 intercept possessions whilst playing every game this season.
Hawthorn National Recruiting and List Manager Mark McKenzie was pleased to see Frost extend.
“Frosty has been a key part of our football club for some time now, evolving into an important leader on and off the field during his four seasons at Hawthorn," McKenzie said.
“He has had a very strong season to date shutting down some of the league’s best forwards, which has contributed immensely to the overall success of our defensive unit.”
