Hawthorn Football Club has joined forces with Box Hill Institute in an exciting new venture to establish Hawthorn College of Sport. 

This partnership offers students the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience within Hawthorn’s high-performance environment, while undertaking Box Hill institutes’ dual diploma in Sport and Leadership and Management. 

With access to Hawthorn’s elite facilities, players, coaches, fitness and medical professionals, as well as sporting administration leaders, students will be immersed within the club during their learning journey. 

Through the specialised dual diplomas, students will be exposed to rare education opportunities and on- the-job training to best position themselves for a future within the sports industry. 

Expressions of interest for entry into the dual diploma with Box Hill institute via Hawthorn College of Sport will open in the coming months, with the first group of students beginning the course in February 2025. 

Hawthorn CEO Ash Klein was thrilled to unveil the exciting new collaboration. 

“Hawthorn has long been a club synonymous with success and high-achievers, and we are now excited to offer these students the opportunity to realise the same outcome, with all the benefits that the Hawthorn College of Sport partnership can offer,” Klein said.
