Hawthorn’s Josh Weddle has claimed a Goal of the Year nomination for Round 22 for his stunning second quarter goal on Sunday afternoon.
Weddle’s goal came off a couple steps for a right foot snap just outside 50, a metre in from the boundary line.
The versatile 20-year-old also managed a further two goals for a career-high of three goals for the game.
