Star Hawthorn midfielder Jai Newcombe has claimed his third MVP nod of the season following his solid outing against Richmond on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.

The 23-year-old led all-comers with 33 disposals, 15 score involvements and nine clearances in a dominant performance. 

Newcombe backed that up with seven marks, seven inside 50s and five tackles in Hawthorn's 63-point victory. 

The star Hawk has had a fine season in brown and gold, averaging 23.5 disposals, 5.8 clearances, ranking above average in each of those stat categories.
