Hawthorn has unveiled its extended squad for its Week 1 clash with Carlton, with five debutants named for their first game in brown and gold.
Young Hawks trio Laura Stone, Jess Vukic and Mikayla Williamson will debut at the highest level, while Eliza West and Casey Sherriff will debut for the club after arriving from Melbourne in last year's trade period.
Kinetic Stadium, Frankston will host the historic first AFLW meeting between the two proud clubs, with the match scheduled to commence at 1.05pm.
In another set of firsts, Emily Bates is set to officially captain the Hawks for the first time while Daniel Webster will lead the side in his first game as Hawthorn’s senior coach.
Hawthorn’s final team will be released on Friday at 5pm via hawthornfc.com.au.
