Chad Wingard has wasted no time in making an impression on the Hawthorn faithful.
In his first game for the Hawks, the 25-year-old stood up in the pivotal moments of the game to finish with three important goals.
Wingard said the feeling of the MCG rising as the Hawks gained momentum was something to behold.
"That feeling of us kicking goals and the crowd getting involved, there's nothing better," Wingard said.
"When the boys are kicking goals, people just get around each other and you feel that selfless attitude throughout the club."
Combining with fellow small forward Luke Breust (five goal) and in-form ruckman Ben McEvoy (two goals), Wingard was a significant factor in the Hawks second win of the season.
