Hawthorn defender James Frawley has earned the MVP award for his performance against West Coast on Saturday.
Frawley blanketed Eagles sharpshooter Josh Kennedy, keeping him goalless for just the second time in his past 104 games.
Kennedy entered the game in red-hot form, having booted 16 goals in his previous five outings.
But the Hawks premiership stopper halted the two-time Coleman Medallist in his tracks.
Frawley was also responsible for the last time Kennedy finished a game without a major – in the Hawks’ successful 2015 grand final.
The Hawks defender recorded just eight disposals himself, but it was his defensive efforts that proved match-defining.
