Jarman Impey has put pen to paper on a contract extension over the off-season.
Already contracted for 2020, the Hawks were keen to lock in the speedy defender’s future at Hawthorn for the long-term.
In his second year at the Hawks, Impey took his game to new heights. With career-high numbers in disposals, marks and rebound 50s, he became one of the Hawks' most important players.
“We’re really pleased to have Jarman re-commit for the long-term,” GM-Football Graham Wright said.
“He’s such a valuable player for us. In 2019, he really developed his game on field but also developed his leadership off it.
“He’s held in high regard by his teammates and is such a respected clubman.
“While Jarman’s season was interrupted by injury, he has been attacking his rehab over the past few months and is progressing well.
“We’re all looking forward to seeing him back out on the park in the latter half of next year.”
Taken by Port Adelaide at pick 21 in the 2013 AFL Draft Impey spent five years at Port before he was traded to Hawthorn in 2017.
