SIX goals from Cyril Rioli has earned him a maximum 10 votes from the coaches in Hawthorn’s 36-point win over Geelong.

Gathering 12 disposals, Rioli’s speed and pressure was crucial in getting the better of the Cats' defence, with his six majors equaling his career best tally.

Skipper Luke Hodge was also instrumental in setting up the win after kicking three first quarter goals – before finishing with four from 24 disposals – with Alastair Clarkson and Chris Scott awarding him eight votes.

Now sitting eighth on the AFLCA Player of the Year Leaderboard, Sam Mitchell was handed two votes after leading the Hawks for disposals with 28.

Liam Shiels (two votes) was also prominent through the middle of the ground with nine clearances, and again led the way with 11 tackles.

Ruckman Ben McEvoy’s 32-hitout, five clearance performance saw him included as well with one vote.

Cam Guthrie (six) and Joel Selwood (one) were the Cats to also figure in the coaches’ votes.
