HAWTHORN skipper Luke Hodge has finished as runner-up in the AFL Players' Best Captain Award for 2015.
Hodge received 144 votes, with Western Bulldogs' captain Robert Murphy winning the award with 226 votes.
The Hawks' leader also finished fourth in the Most Courageous Player Award.
Hodge collected 78 votes, to finish behind winner Luke Parker (Sydney Swans - 238 votes), runner-up Callan Ward (GWS Giants - 123 votes) and Joel Selwood (Geelong - 83 votes).
Sam Mitchell was also acknowledged for his outstanding home-and-away season, finishing seventh in the AFL Players' MVP award.
Mitchell finished with 116 votes, with Fremantle's Nat Fyfe collected 1455 votes to be a unanimous victor.
The MVP voting is a two-stage process, beginning with each player voting for the three teammates he considers to have been the most valuable this season.
Each club’s votes are then tallied to form a nomination list comprising 54 players across the 18 teams.
In the second round of voting, all AFL players vote for their MVP on a 3, 2, 1 basis from the nominees of the 17 other clubs.
