Chad Wingard
Playing 147 games and earning two All Australian honours, Chad Wingard was a favourite son at Port Adelaide. But on Saturday he comes up against his former side in a clash that he would have undoubtedly looked forward to since he made the move to the brown and gold. Having spent the last two games on the sidelines with hamstring tightness, Wingard appears set for a big performance on the weekend.
Jon Ceglar
With his ruck partner Ben McEvoy set to miss at least the next four weeks, Jon Ceglar has an important next month ahead of him. That starts on Saturday, with an in-form Ceglar taking on a Power ruck duo of Paddy Ryder and debutant Peter Ladhams. The 28-year-old Hawk will be hoping to have a similar aerial presence to the one he had last week against Richmond.
James Worpel
With a forecasted 80 per cent chance of rain on a 13-degree day, fans can expect a fair scrap on Saturday. There seems no Hawk who will relish the combative conditions more than Worpel, his side’s number one contested possession player to this point in the season. Up against a seasoned Port Adelaide midfield group, a lot will be asked of the 20-year-old once again in Round 10.
Robbie Gray
Another one making his return after an injury lay-off, Gray makes his first appearance for Port Adelaide since Round 6. An All Australian in four of the last five seasons, the danger that Gray poses needs little explanation. The 31-year-old is his side’s number one game-breaker and only needs a few opportunities to really make an opposition hurt.
Connor Rozee
Cut from a similar cloth to Gray, Rozee has been an excitement machine in his debut season at the Power. Playing all nine games so far this year, Rozee has averaged 16.6 disposals, 4.6 tackles and 1.4 goals per game. The 19-year-old has hit the scoreboard in all bar two matches in 2019, including a five-goal haul against Brisbane in just his third senior appearance in Round 3. The Hawks will be very aware of the star power this youngster possesses.
