The Bombers should regain Stringer and Shiel from their hamstring injuries this week, and Fantasia could also return from his quad strain. Essendon has had a tough run with injury in the first half of the season, but that is easing now as they plan for an assault on the top-eight in the second half of the year. - Callum Twomey

The latest hamstring injury Wingard sustained against Brisbane before last week's bye will keep him out for at least one game and possibly two. McEvoy has progressed well from his syndesmosis injury and is back running, while Scrimshaw will also look to resume full training next week. Higgins underwent surgery on Tuesday after hurting his AC joint in the opening minutes of Saturday's victory over Gold Coast. There is less known about Hall's status after an awkward landing on his left leg in the VFL. Macmillan was ruled out last week, but should be in contention for Sunday's clash with the Giants. Tyson and Wright are set to return after next week's bye. - Marc McGowan

Ebert has been given the all clear to resume playing after travelling to Melbourne on Tuesday to visit a neurologist. The 29-year-old hasn't played since round seven due to concussion symptoms. He will likely return through the SANFL. Rockliff will be assessed this week after he was ruled out of Port's round 11 win against St Kilda in China with a hamstring injury. - Lee Gaskin

Richmond's injury list is now at an equal season-high of 12 players, seven of whom played in the 2017 flag as well as first-choice player Short. Martin and Vlastuin need to get through training this week, while Brandon Ellis (groin) is available.
