Olivia Flanagan was back to her best as she helped to inspire Hawthorn VFLW to its first win of 2019.

Flanagan was a force across the ground, with her level of physicality especially influential.

The 19-year-old had limited impact in the opening fortnight of the season but proved that she deserves her spot in the best 22.

Coach Patrick Hill spoke highly of the 2018 premiership player’s performance.

“After a couple of quiet weeks, Liv was back to her absolute best,” Hill said.

“She collected a game-high 17 possessions, eight tackles, eight inside 50’s, four clearances and a goal.

“Liv has worked really hard on her game and deserves her success.”

Flanagan and the Hawks will now turn their attention to Williamstown, who they will host at Box Hill City Oval on Saturday at 11.30am.
