Hawthorn’s VFLW side has been further strengthened with the addition of two former AFLW players Jordan Membrey and Georgia Bevan to their list.
Membrey joins the Hawks following two seasons in the AFLW competition.
The 23-year-old was taken as a free agent by the Brisbane Lions in 2017 where she played five games, including the 2017 grand final.
More recently Membrey was selected by Collingwood in the 2018 draft with pick 51, where she played in three games and kicked two goals in her debut match.
Bevan was part of the Adelaide Crows 2017 premiership winning side, playing in all eight games in the competition’s inaugural season.
The 25-year-old played a second season with the Crows the following year and then joined the Northern Territory Thunder for the 2018 VFLW season.
“We are thrilled to add both Jordan and Georgia to our VFLW list,” said Hawthorn’s Football Operations and Strategy Manager, Rob McCartney.
“Both have played at the highest level, including in an AFLW grand final.
“They will provide our group with a great amount of experience and knowledge.”
