Fresh off signing a new four-year deal, Jaeger O’Meara said his decision to remain with the club was a no-brainer.
O’Meara’s contract extension will see him remain in the brown and gold until at least 2023.
Such is the pleasure that O’Meara has found life as a Hawk, the 25-year-old suggested he would have been comfortable with signing his football life away.
“It was a pretty easy decision,” the in-form midfielder told SEN Breakfast on Wednesday.
“One that both the club, my management and I were happy with, so I would’ve been happy to sign a 10-year deal if it was on offer for me, but we agreed on four so I’m stoked with that.”

Averaging a career-high 28.7 disposals in 2019, the former Gold Coast Sun said he is hopeful of making a return to the Hawks side after missing last week’s loss to St Kilda with a corked hip.
“The body’s feeling good other than the hip cork I copped against North Melbourne.
“I obviously wasn’t able to get up for the game on the weekend against St Kilda, but I’ll ramp up and train on Friday and should be right to go for Monday.
“I’m a genuine chance. I should be right. I’ve just got to get through training on Friday.”
