Development coaches Torin Baker and Marco Bello run us through how the new draftees are tracking in the early stages of their AFL careers.
Will Golds
"He has transitioned in really well. He is a smart, articulate athlete who really wants to learn really quickly. He's got his attributes that he has brought to the table with his speed and he has already shown in the time trials that he is able to compete with the best of the best there. He is really strong on his work ethic too with regards to his crafts, his kicking and his handballing. He is a character as well, so he is starting to shine in terms of his personality and getting amongst the group really well." MB
Mathew Walker
"Walks has had a few injury restrictions prior to Christmas. But he is one that has really impressed with his attention to detail, he is a really professional kid and we've been really pleased with the way that he has gone about his work. He is very diligent and he is doing a lot of work behind the scenes. Walks is a goal-kicking midfielder who is able to go forward and have an impact there. He is also really good in the air." TB
Jacob Koschitzke
"He is a really confident young boy. He has assimilated into the group very strongly. We can see that he is already a pretty strong boy and so he has been impressive in the gym already. I think we're all looking forward to seeing his physical presence out on the track. Over the next few weeks he will go through some gradual loading as he looks to continue training with the main group." TB
Damon Greaves
"Greavesy has been really impressive. He is a quieter lad that sort of goes about his work in the background. But, from what we've seen in not only his skill level but also his endurance, it's been a really positive start from him. He is someone that has worked in really well with the rest of the boys. What we've seen with Greavesy is that his ball-use off half-back is probably what his main strength is. He has been making good decisions in training so far." TB
