Hawthorn Football Club has traded dual-premiership player Taylor Duryea to the Western Bulldogs, in exchange for their future fourth round draft pick.
Selected by the club with Pick 69 in the 2009 AFL Draft, Duryea departs Hawthorn after 118 games and two premierships.
A much-loved player at Waverley, Duryea was awarded the Best Clubman Award at the recent Peter Crimmins Medal night.
Hawthorn GM - Football Graham Wright thanked Duryea for his hard work and dedication to the Hawks.
“Taylor has exemplified Hawthorn’s values and culture across his career and we wish him all the best in his new journey at the Bulldogs,” Wright said.
“We want to thank Taylor for his hard work and commitment in his nine years at the Hawks.”
Debuting against Collingwood in Round 3 2013, he secured his spot in the Hawks’ side as a young defender and was awarded the Best First Year player in that year.
