Hawthorn President Jeff Kennett has penned the following tribute to Hawthorn fan Trv Fry, who sadly passed away on Saturday.
Young Trav Fry sadly passed away on Saturday, just before his 41st birthday.
To his Mother Lyn, his brothers, family and friends we extend our sincere condolences.
The Hawthorn Football Club was a significant part of Trav’s life, and he attended all our home games and even managed a few trips to Tasmania.
Even though he could not see the game Trav listened on his radio and loved the atmosphere and sounds of the match.
On one occasion when Trav visited the Club, Alastair Clarkson made him lunch and Jarryd Roughead who was injured at the time talked with Trav for over an hour.
To all of us who enjoy good health, with the occasional injuries, Trav was an inspiration.
We at Hawthorn will miss him, his sense of humour, the example he set us all, but also the energy he had toward everything Hawthorn.
Farewell our friend.
Jeff Kennett
President
