Will Langford will be a test for selection this week after suffering a finger injury against the Giants. Should the 26-year-old fail to come up in time, young Hawk James Worpel could be in the frame to face the Bulldogs.

Worpel was impressive through the middle of the ground in Box Hill’s loss to Richmond, kicking two goals from 20 disposals to be one of the side’s best despite going down by 47 points.

Midfielder James Cousins also continued his consistent form, picking up 27 disposals as well as kicking an important goal in the third term for Box Hill.

While under a cloud himself after hurting his adductor, Cousins is a chance to be considered for selection should he be ruled fit to play.

Meanwhile versatile Hawk Brendan Whitecross was as reliable as ever at VFL level, gathering 25 disposals to be named amongst the side’s best.

Jack Gunston was a late out against the Giants, but is expected to return from a corked calf to face the Dogs this week.

Should Gunston be unable to prove his fitness in time, key tall Ryan Schoenmakers may also be considered for an AFL return.
