With both sides fresh off a bye, the Box Hill Hawks and Hawthorn women will be hoping for a strong return in their respective clashes on Saturday.

The VFLW side will kick things off at 11.45am at Trevor Barker Oval, as they take on the Southern Saints for the second time this year.

Their Round 6 encounter saw the Hawks run away 33-point victors, as Melissa Kuys put together a best-on-ground performance.

This weekend will see the return of TAC Cup youngsters Mikala Cann and Emerson Woods, fresh off an impressive U18s national carnival.

Emily McIlvena will also come in for her first game of the season, following some blistering form at local level.

The Box Hill Hawks then continue the action against Sandringham at 2.10pm.

Harrison Burt is set to make his VFL debut, while Chris Newman’s line up could also be buoyed by a slew of AFL talent, with Taylor Duryea, Tim O’Brien and Will Langford all a chance to play.

The match will be televised live on Channel 7, with the broadcast beginning at 2pm.
